A change of address must be registered with the National Population Registry via your local tax office within eight days of moving. If you are moving within Norway, you can submit a change of address notification online. If you are moving abroad, you must complete the change of address forms on paper and send to your local tax office.

Did you know

...that everyone who notifies a change of address on paper must attach a copy of identification?

Valid identification is passport, driving license or other ID-card that contains date of birth, name, signature and picture, such as student card. Everyone who notify a change of address online through www.skatteetaten.no or www.minside.no, do not have to send in such documentation.

There is no longer possible to send in a joint change of address to the Norwegian Post and the Norwegian Tax Administration.
