How can Norway.no help you?

Norway.no is a public service comprising a web portal and a citizen help desk. Our help desk may be contacted by telephone, e-chat, e-mail, SMS, letter and telefax.

Norway.no can help you find public information about public sector services, laws, regulations, duties and rights. If you require specific advice about personal matters or the interpretation of a Norwegian law, we can help you contact the public agency responsible.

You may contact Norway.no anonymously and your enquiry will handled confidentially.

How quickly will you get an answer?

If you contact us by phone, e-chat or SMS, you will receive an instant response. If you contact us by e-mail, letter or fax, we will reply to your enquiry within one working day.

How often is www.norway.no updated?

Our web pages are regularly updated. However, if you find any content that requires updating, or if you have any other comments, please send us an e-mail.

In developing www.norway.no we focus upon the needs of the public. We endeavour to develop accessible and user-friendly solutions.

Language

Norway.no aims to use a clear and comprehensible language when dealing with members of the public and on our web pages. At present, we provide information in English, Bokmål Norwegian and Nynorsk Norwegian.

Norway.no links to public sector web sites. By this we mean web sites representing:

• public administration agencies and enterprises, as defined in § 1 of the Norwegian Public Administration Act and institutions excepted from this Act, cf. § 4
• the Norwegian Royal Household
• state-owned enterprises
• trusts and organisations connected with the public sector, or with special tasks of national importance.
