Housing Bank (Husbanken)
The Housing Bank is the main agency implementing Norwegian housing policy. On their web site, you can find information about interest rates, housing allowances, loans and grants. They have useful customer-related information such as advice on buying your own home and a web-based learning program in seven languages about living in Norway.

NOKUT - Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education
provides news and information about education and the general recognition of foreign qualifications in Norway. Application forms for getting your education recognised may be downloaded from this web site. It is wise to apply in good time; the average processing time for applications is four months.

Nortrade
cooperates with the Ministry of Trade And Industry and Innovation Norway to provide news and information from Norwegian import and export companies from various industry sectors. These sectors include construction, consumer goods, oil & gas, ICT, maritime and seafood industries.

Norway Portal
presents links to official sites around the world, on behalf of The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Norwegian Pollution Control Authority
is a directorate under the Ministry of the Environment. They provide news and information about air, noise, water and chemical pollution, climate change, ozone issues and much more. Their web site is well structured and full of useful, interesting and up-to-date information.

Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund
This web site is aimed at non-Norwegian members of the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund (Statens Pensjonskasse). It describes what privileges a member has, and the types of of payments membership ensures.
Norwegian State Educational Fund
The objective of the educational support from Lånekassen is to to remove inequality and to promote equal opportunities so that the pursuit of education is possible regardless of geographical conditions, age, sex and economical and social positions.

NOVA - Norwegian Social Research
aims to develop knowledge and understanding of social conditions and processes of change in Norway. You will find links to their research work, which includes projects about youth, quality of life, ageing, migration, minorities and social policy.

Research Council of Norway
is Norway's official body for the development and implementation of national research strategy. It is an advisory body, a research funding agency and initiator of meeting places and research networking. On the council's web site you will find information about research funding, events and Norwegian research policy.

State of the Environment Norway
provides the latest information on environmental issues in Norway, on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of the Environment and in cooperation with Norwegian environmental authorities. You will find scientific presentations, legislation and international agreements, downloadable data sets, environmental targets, references and other relevant links.

Statistics Norway
Statistics Norway's web site ssb.no contains up-to-date statistics and analyses in addition to detailed background information on various statistics. The information published on ssb.no is free of charge. The statistics can be found by clicking on Statistics by Subjects or by using the Search or A-Z functions. An e-mail subscription service is also available. All publications from Statistics Norway are available in electronic format on ssb.no.

Stortinget.no
The Storting is the Norwegian Parliament. It is the supreme arena for political debate and decision-making in the Kingdom of Norway. On the Storting's web site you can find information about the Norwegian Constitution, members of the Storting, standing committees and you can also watch live TV-coverage from the Storting.

is a web site for refugees and immigrants settling in Oslo. Here you will find lots of useful information about Norwegian language training, recognition of of foreign qualifications, education and work for immigrants, refugees and a network of people engaged in language training and qualification services.

Vox - Norwegian Institute for Adult Learning
The Norwegian Institute for Adult Learning aims to improve the basic skills in the adult population in the areas of reading, writing, arithmetic and the use of ICT. Vox is responsible for developing and implementing the introductory course curriculum for immigrants. On the Vox web site, you can find information about Vox's activities and links to relevant courses and programmes.
