Visitor’s visa and residence permit

A visitor's visa allows you to stay in Norway or other Schengen countries for up to 90 days over a period of 180 days. A residence permit gives you the opportunity to work in Norway and to stay for more than 90 days.

  • How to apply for a visitor visa:
    The Embassy of France in Yerevan handles short stay Schengen visa applications on behalf of Norway. Please find more information on the French Embassy's website: Վիզա - La France en Arménie (ambafrance.org)
  • How to apply for a residence permit:
    Applications for residence permit in Norway for citizens of Armenia must be submitted at the Norwegian visa application centers run by the external service provider VFS Global.
    Applicants can choose to apply from one of the Visa Application centers(VFS) in the Ankara region, Moscow region or from London-hub. For more information, please read the information on the websites of the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow and the Norwegian Embassy in Ankara.
